I love sight fishing snook and tarpon in the spring and summer with the gin clear water and white sand beaches as a beautiful tropical back drop.
On schedule, the tarpon showed along the beaches and the snook are in the shallows, passes and adjacent bays. In addition there is a myriad of fish and sea life along the coasts of southwest Florida. The turtles are nesting in abundance, I’ve recently seen deer walking the local beaches and in the water mackerel, jacks, pompano, sharks and more are cruising.
Going forward the fishing will continue to be good during the summer with tarpon in the passes and along the beaches, snook will continue to be available as well as are other species.
If your looking to book a trip tides can play an important factor. We’re coming up on a full moon on June 18 which will produce good morning and late afternoon tides. This applies to the five or six days around the full moon. The late afternoon trips I offer are from 4-8pm with hard falling tides and the snook, tarpon and shark fishing can be great.
Feel free to give me a call to talk fishin’. Thanks – Capt. Mark 239-450-9230
