While I didn't end up landing any tarpon on our trip (had one get off the line though), that certainly wasn't due to a lack of effort or knowledge on his part. As a fishing guide myself, I understand that some days the fish simply don't cooperate. What impressed me most was Mark's clear understanding of the fishery—he consistently put us in the right areas, explained what the fish were doing, and adjusted throughout the day based on conditions. It was obvious that he knew where the tarpon should be and how to catch them. Mark worked hard from start to finish, stayed positive, and made the trip enjoyable regardless of the outcome. I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and professional guide.

We hooked into an absolute monster and got to see it put on an incredible aerial show before spitting the hook. We also hooked one right at the end of the day but immediately lost it. Even though we didn't land one, the adrenaline was unmatched. Mark worked tirelessly all day and gave us perfect coaching. Game changer with video and photos. He was incredibly patient with my son, taking the time to teach him fishing techniques, share tips and tricks, and make sure he was engaged and having fun throughout the trip. Thanks to Mark’s knowledge and hard work, we caught a ton of fish—including tarpon, sharks, grouper, snook, and many others—which made for an unforgettable experience on the water. He put together a great plan for me and my wife to tarpon fish. Had baits in the water for at least 4 different groups of tarpon to take the bait!  But we fished rather than caught! He put out an extra bait for sharks and we did catch a nice spinner shark. I would fish with him again!

Capt. Mark did a fantastic job getting us on the tarpon and explaining what to do and how to bring them in. We got 5 to fly, brought 3 up to the boat and landed 1 that was well over 109 lbs.!  Best day fishing EVER!!

Capt Mark got our 6 y/o casting his own lines and was gracious in getting all the other beginners setup and pulling in some big ones. Will definitely visit again next year. 					  Great Charter with Captain Mark!  – I enjoyed a fantastic charter with Captain Mark, exploring the backcountry water around Naples. He was very responsive and helpful before the trip, letting me know what to expect and… read more outlining the itinerary for the day. He showed a little early at 8 am and shared his expert tips on how to fish in different situations (e.g. casting near shore, jigging) and how to land them successfully. Even though the wind made the water a bit murky, we had a productive day, catching about 20 fish, including 5 snook, 1 redfish and 1 jack (all new species for me). I would highly recommend fishing with Captain Mark again next time I am in Naples, FL.

					  Super weather and productive fishing.  – Fantastic trip with three friends.  Captain Mark had great private spots picked out to fish and wasted no time with the rare unproductive spot.  We scored with seven… read more different species.  I even managed to hook a blue crab!  We had great fun with Snook, Speckled Sea Trout, Mangrove Snapper, and Ladyfish.  Two different Catfish joined in the fun.

Deep in the mangroves Captain Mark patiently tolerated my attempts to flycast and greatly improved my technique.  I was duely humbled by the challenges of fly fishing.  The best fun came later in the day, running into some healthy sized Crevalle Jack while Dolphins, Osprey, and Royal Tern shared their fishing grounds.

Overall, despite a recent cold front, we had a great productive day.  Kudos to Captain Mark.

Mark is very… read more knowledgeable about the area and is determined to find you fish.  The two of us our novice level fisherman, but that is ok because Mark handles most of the heavy lifting for us.  I always appreciate Marks efficiency and organization because it allows you to get to most amount of action during your charter.  We were able to catch several species of fish, a nurse shark, and we also saw a large number of dolphins.  We had another great experience and would highly recommend.  Can’t wait to come back and try our luck with some Tarpon.

His knowledge of the area, his professionalism and his desire to make your trip perfect is something I have never experienced on any other fishing trip.
