The daytime temperatures have started to cool and the weather has been very consistent with a light breeze out of the east which keeps our gulf water calm and clear. Been mixing it up quite a bit, snook and redfish bite got slow the other morning so we threw jigs for trout and pompano, ended up catching the above as well as lady fish, lizard fish and other non-target species but gave us some action as well as our shark bait. Snapper are still prevalent

Fishing has been great the past couple of weeks in the Naples and Marco Island area. Especially last week we caught really good numbers of fish. Snook have been really prevalent but not as much as the mangrove snappers. “Mangs” are everywhere and most of them are keepers which is over 10”. I fish around

Tarpon have thinned out along the beaches, snook and snapper are very prevalent along with mackerel, a few reds and some jacks. Tropical storm Elsa was just a rain event as it was many miles off the coast. The Southwest wind did dirty the water for a couple days but the water is clear again.
Naples Fishing Report
It’s been a good couple weeks catching tarpon, some nice snook, a few reds, keeper snapper, mackerel and sharks. There’s been bait fish everywhere and consequently bigger fish follow and congregate. The mackerel along the beaches are as thick as I’ve seen them busting the small baitfish that are everywhere. Mackerel make great cut bait
