Had the day off Saturday so took my son Dylan out for a little backcountry R&D. Bait was easy as we loaded up with perfect 2-4″ pilchards (white bait). Had a great morning with Joey from Tampa and his grandfather. Snook were active in Gordon Pass. We had a fun morning catching numerous snook, jacks and reds in the backcountry of Rookery Bay.

Hit this spot the other day that I hadn’t fished since last summer. Strong outgoing, 20′ from the mangroves, could see them waking up to the baits as we sat in the trough.
