Fishing has been great the past week with blue skies and clear calm waters off the beaches of SW Florida. The bonita showed up this week with the beautiful warm calm weather. Bonita are little tunas that scream drag off the reel and are pound for pound the best fighting fish we have. These elusive fighters only show up in the fall and then, are intermittent. They can be tough to catch but the challenge is fun and rewarding.
Had a good day with David Nordahl and his two grand kids this past week. We caught a few bonita off the beaches then headed to the backcountry for snook, reds, black drum and snapper.
Give me a call to talk about fishing. This time of year there is a great variety of species to catch.
