I love battling backcountry bullsharks on light tackle. And still catching at least a tarpon a day in the mornings.
I’ve had really good fishing this past few days. Had client John R. and his wife and boys from England Friday and they wanted to catch something big so we fished a near shore wreck with cut bait for sharks and goliath grouper and within minutes caught their first 65# goliath grouper and then caught another 65# then a 200# plus grouper! We were lucky to get it in considering it’s size. Good job boys!
Still finding tarpon. Yesterday, fishing with Bob Lewis and his nephew Erik we went three for four with the last fish a nice ninety pounder.
This morning got a late start for the tarpon but did catch a 18# permit, nice job Stan!
I love fishing the hour before daylight through sunrise. The best hour of the day and sometimes the best fishing of the day.
This can be a great time of the year to fish and I have availability. Let’s go fishing!
